His 79-year-old great grandmother,
Pat Davis, arranged with the company to lay on a surprise tour to celebrate
the youngster’s 9th birthday.
She drove Joshua, who lives in Kinson, Bournemouth, straight to the Yeomans Way depot from his school, Christ the King, for a behind-the-scenes visit.
Jenni Wilkinson, TYB’s Head of Marketing, personally escorted Joshua and Pat on the tour, which included sitting in the driving seat of one of the fleet’s 107 buses.

Joshua, who decribed his visit as “fantastic”, was also presented with a model bus and a specially made card by Transdev Yellow Buses
Mrs Davis, who has three children, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, said: “Joshua has been mad about buses since he was three.
“He still waves to the drivers on the number 5A route by his home – and they always wave back. It was worth all the effort just to see Joshua’s face light up.
“He’s got dozens of model buses in his bedroom and he can reel off the destinations to quite a few of the routes. I’m very proud of Joshua – he’s a good lad.”
Jenni Wilkinson said: “Joshua is no stranger to us. He visited here when he was five, and his enthusiasm for the ‘Yellows’ has not abated in all that time.”
