
Judges highlighted TYB ’s success
in providing a modern tourist friendly network which had seen passenger numbers grow by 20 per cent
year-on-year.
They also praised the company for improving access and visibility to attractions and facilities in the resort while building long term relationships with other tourism partners.
Key figures in Bournemouth, including Mayor Cllr Anne Filer, attended the ceremony at the Bournemouth International Centre.
Simon Calder, Travel Editor of The Independent and described as TV’s ‘Mr Holiday’ hosted the evening which featured 18 categories.
TYB’s award was presented by James Eels, Vice Chairman of the Bournemouth Tourism Management Board, to Gary Corrie, Jenni Wilkinson and Laura Wood.
