Transdev plc completed the deal with Bournemouth Borough Council to purchase Yellow Buses, the Bournemouth-based municipal bus operator, on Saturday, 17 December 2005.
The deal to buy Yellow Buses, the trading name of Bournemouth Transport Ltd, involves the Council continuing to have a board level role in the business, thus continuing Transdev’s aim of strategic partnering with local authorities to deliver quality transport services.
Commenting on the transaction,
Francois-Xavier Perin, Chief Executive of Transdev plc said:
“
We are delighted to have finalised the deal with Bournemouth Borough Council
and I look forward to welcoming Yellow Buses employees into the Transdev

for more than a hundred years and we are committed to enhancing and modernising
the bus service for the benefit of residents and visitors.”
