Bournemouth Air Festival 2018

34 Days Ago 16th Aug

Direct to the Pier from Bournemouth Rail Station

Are you ready for the UK’s biggest air festival this summer? Since 2008, this internationally renowned event has been entertaining people over the years through an array of displays exhibiting aircraft from the past and present. Whether it is air, land or sea, you can have the most spectacular experience with something to cater to everyone.

Kick your weekend off with a flying start and let Yellow Buses bring you straight to the best views at Bournemouth Beach and the Pier, with services running up to every 2 minutes from Bournemouth railway station.

With the world-famous red arrows to wing walkers, parachute displays, battle of Britain memorial flights, fireworks and night displays - it is no surprise that Bournemouth Air Festival has attracted over 9 million people across the 10 years the event has been running. The festival continues to surprise crowds by expanding the event and adding more entertainment as years pass by. With pyrotechnic night flying being added this year, as well as the gravity Industries jet suit display team. There are also events and displays from the RAF the Royal Navy and the Marines as well as active ships being parked up on our coastline. With this many attractions and displays, it is no surprise that this event has to be spread across 4 days. There will be stalls all along the beach front from Bournemouth to Boscombe selling food and drink, promoting products and selling suitable products. Oh, and did we mention there will be a fun fair!

Catch the sunset on the beachfront and be a part of the most captivating experience during the night, especially on Friday 31st August when the sky will be lighting up with Bournemouth’s famous fireworks firework display at the pier.

Kick your weekend off with a flying start and let Yellow Buses bring you straight to the best views at Bournemouth Beach and the Pier, with services running up to every 2 minutes from Bournemouth railway station. Yellow Buses also run services from Christchurch and Pokesdown for Boscombe railway stations, and Poole Bus Station (only a short walk from Poole railway station) -  Make sure you get a front-row seat across the coastline!

The Air Festival site opens at 10am and closes at 10pm (Sunday site closes at 6pm).
