The rich history of the ancient port town of Poole is revealed in four floors of galleries housed in a 19th century quayside warehouse.
The museum was reopened in 2007 following a major redevelopment.
Displays range from archaeology to art, from pirates to potteries. Highlights include the Iron Age Poole logboat, the finest collection of Poole Pottery on public display, and replica hide where you can view the birds of Poole Harbour.
With its stunning new entrance and atrium, Poole Museum’s new public facilities include a visitor lounge and terrace with magnificent views over Poole Harbour and the Old Town.
Entry to Poole Museum is free and it is fully accessible to visitors with disabilities.
