Remembrance Day - Yellow Buses

Free travel for armed forces personnel

We would like to inform all armed forces personnel and veterans that they can travel free on our buses on both Sunday 10th November and Monday 11th November - just show the driver your military ID card or wear your uniform, medals or veteran badge (This also includes any younger cadets travelling in uniform)

Please be aware our drivers will also be pulling over if safe to do so to observe the two-minute silence at 11am on both days.

Remembrance Day Services

There are several services and parades taking place across the local area, with special 


On Sunday 10th November at 10:57, there will be a service at the Bournemouth War Memorial in the gardens with a two-minute silence. A wreath-laying ceremony will take place after this service.


A parade will leave Royal British Legion premises in Bargates at 9:50am and march to the Priory for a wreath-laying ceremony. A church service will take place in the Priory after the ceremony.


The Poole Remembrance Day Service and parade will be in Poole Park. The service starts at 10.50am, with music provided by the Poole Civic Band.


Wimborne's Remembrance Day Service will be held in the Minster Church on Sunday 10th November at 3pm.
