Ticket acceptance changes
We have been given notice by BCP Council and Hampshire County Council that with effect from the start of operation on Monday 15th June 2020 we will no longer accepting concessionary passes before 0930. Passes will continue to be valid all day at weekends. So they will be valid all day on Saturday 13th June and all day on Sunday 14th June.
Customers wishing to travel before 0930 can purchase a single fare to the first timing point that the bus reaches after 0930, and then show their pass for the rest of the journey.
Ticket acceptance with Morebus
We will no longer be accepting Morebus tickets (and vice versa) from Monday 15th June 2020.
The ticket acceptance scheme between Morebus and Yellow Buses will cease at the end of operation on Sunday 14th June. As from the beginning of operation on Monday 15th June, Yellow Buses' drivers will no longer accept Morebus tickets for travel. Customers wishing to use the service will need to purchase a Yellow Buses ticket or a Getting About ticket which is valid on both operator services.
The acceptance scheme was put into place when both operators were providing low frequencies on all corridors making travelling around the conurbation difficult. Now that both operators are providing high-frequency services, this scheme is no longer required.
