Official Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole tourism awards launched

Following the management buy out of Yellow Buses and Yellow Coaches, we are proud to truly be a part of the local community that we serve

The recent management buyout means that Yellow Buses are locally owned and managed. Yellow Buses and Yellow Coaches employ over 400 staff locally in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole areas which provides additional benefits within the community.

What does this mean?

  • The money you pay for your fares and tickets pay the wages of our staff who will then spend it within the local economy
  • We use and pay other local businesses who supply our parts and other supplies associated with running a bus business
  • The money is ploughed back into the local economy - rather than being paid to a French owner or shareholders in the city, or in the case of More Bus the other local bus company owned by the national bus group Go-Ahead
  • We will continue to work closely with the local community to promote the benefits of public transport in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Destination Awards

You may have seen an article in the Bournemouth Echo about the launch of the new Destination Awards for the Bournemouth postcodes where Yellow Buses and Yellow Coaches will be the headline sponsor for the next three years!

“We wanted to get involved because these awards are all about the community we serve – it is a perfect partnership...We have signed up for three years because we want to fully support local businesses who are delivering tourism week in week out in the Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole area.” - David Squire, Managing Director
