Yellow Buses’ new supermarket trolley bus

Yellow Buses is bringing back a trolley bus – by extending a service to a popular supermarket.
Its 1a bus from Bournemouth will take in Highcliffe and New Milton where it will stop at the railway station, town centre and Tesco.
The service will be run on an hourly basis from Monday to Saturday.
It is aimed at shoppers but also for residents of Highcliffe and New Milton to be able to visit Boscombe and Bournemouth.
The new route is part of the company’s summer changes that are being introduced from April 7.
David Squire, managing director of Yellow Buses, said: “This extension is something we think will be popular on that route.
“There are many bus users we’ve identified who can benefit from this extension.
“People in Highcliffe can now visit Sainsbury’s and Stewart’s garden centre in Christchurch – or of course Tesco in New Milton.
“We also hope to encourage passengers from those areas to visit Bournemouth and Boscombe.
“It also provides a link to New Milton railway station as we want to promote public transport connectivity.”
The changes will also see an extension of a service to Wimborne. Details of changes can be found on Yellow Buses’ website.
