Bournemouth’s iconic Yellow Buses celebrates 120 years of continuous service to Bournemouth, Christchurch, and the surrounding area in July 2022.
We have a number of celebrations planned during the forthcoming months and have partnered with Bobby’s in the Square to roll-out an all-over advert bus promoting the return of the famous Bobby’s in the old Debenhams store in the Square, whilst the front and rear promote our 120th anniversary.
David Squire, Managing Director of Yellow Buses said, “2022 marks a special moment in our long history as we celebrate 120 years of service as a locally owned and locally operated company. This bus features some fascinating scenes marking the varied vehicles including trams and trolleybuses used over the year. We are proud to partner with Bobby’s as another iconic Bournemouth brand that is focussed on its future whilst celebrating its history and the bus celebrates both companies in style”.
Ashley Nicholson, Director, Verve Properties, owner of Bobby’s added, “We are delighted that Yellow Buses asked us to partner with them on their 120th anniversary. Both Bobby’s and Yellow Buses are iconic brands in Bournemouth and in particular the Square and The Lower Gardens. The town centre like much in the world around us is undergoing change and we are two locally owned independent businesses working together to shape that change for the better.”
